The Warrior Queen
i tried to write about your eyes but i ran out of cliches, i tried to say you plainly but there wasn’t enough truth, whoever invented this language didn’t anticipate you.
Ashlyn loved her people, and when it came down to it, ruled through her advisors more so than her own ideas...atleast when it came to runing the country in times of peace. These men were trusted by her, fought with her...and had the best interest of the people at heart...though she still used her own head when it came down to it. One thing that Ashlyn didn't do was put herself above her people. She came from the low born...the people who were forced to do the manual labour...never again would she stand above them and force them to work like she did. For such, Ashlyn made frequent trips into the beloved Royal City to speak to her people...and to enjoy herself in the atmosphere.
Ashlyn never made an effort to hide her trips into the city...not that the six foot, eight inch tall woman could hide easily anyways. It was another sunny day on this trip into the Royal City proper, watching her subjects hard at work, gently waving at those who took notice of her and either bowed or praised her. The ecomney was already rebuilding itself nicely...and from the look of the Royal City, it was almost hard to believe that it was damaged only a year ago. Ashlyn's walk lead her toward the Castaes Park...a park given her last name in Ashlyn's honor. Ashlyn had protested it...but the people wanted it, who was she to really argue? Ashlyn walked the limestone path through the trees when she noticed a small field...with kids playing around with a kick ball. A smile crossed Ashlyn's face as she approached the kids, who when they took notice of her, stop playing and bowed to the woman. Ashlyn would chuckle loudly before looking down at the kids and saying,
"Stand children...there is no need to bow to me. In fact, I was going to ask the honor to join your game...that is if you don't mind an old woman like me to play with you?"
The kids were surprised...but smile brightly as they explained the rules of kick ball to Ashlyn, and in no time at all, the Queen was playing Kick Ball with the kids...making sure to hold back her strength...as one accidental kick could send the ball flying who knows where.
